The Consortium for REACH Registration of STPP has completed the IUCLID file and CSR Registration Dossier. STPP was one of the dossiers submitted to ECHA – Cefic “dossier testing” and completeness tool testing in 2009.
The STPP Reach Consortium was established by five European STPP manufacturers in early 2008, with the Secretariat contracted to ReachCentrum. Over 1000 studies concerning phosphates in the environment were collected and assessed for this dossier preparation, in particular because polyphosphates are also naturallly occurring molecules.
Full information concerning studies available, IUCLID and CSR content and conclusions has been made available to all SIEF members for consultation. The dossier is now expected to be formally submitted (Joint Registration submission) in January 2010, following addition of further studies communicated to the Consortium in Autumn 2009.
The dossier concludes that STPP is "Not Classified" under GHS classification and labelling.
